A group of gentlemen anglers formed a group called the Kennebago Tribe circa 1920. Membership was limited to persons of good character from the Kennebago Lakes area of the Rangeley Region. Each member was given an Indian name, head dress, and pipe for use in their ceremonies. This album, including photographs, recently donated to the Museum is the only known example of a detailed account of the Tribe’s members and activities.
