Current Status of the Rangeley Outdoor Sporting
Heritage Museum
After breaking ground in September 2009, significant progress has been
made toward realizing the goal of opening the museum in mid 2010.
-
the
rustic log exterior with its charming burl railings is virtually
complete.
-
an
authentic 1890's log sporting camp has been reassembled inside the
museum to serve as the Welcome Center.

the
heating, electrical and security systems, and insulation have been
installed.
-
the
ceiling, walls and flooring will be completed by spring in time for
the development of displays.
Over
$600,000 has been received or pledged to date. The planned opening of
the museum by mid 2010 is dependent upon raising the remaining
